Song of the Day: Stuck in the Middle with You, words and music by Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty, was a 1973 Top Ten Billboard hit for their band Stealers Wheel. The song’s lyric—”Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right“—has long been viewed as a prescient political statement. That aside, the song remains a radio staple.
