Song of the Day: Dancing in the Moonlight, words and music by Sherman Kelly, was originally recorded for Kelly’s band Boffalongo in 1970, but became a hit single for the French-American rock band King Harvest in 1972. The song was also recorded by the English band Toploader in 2000. The famous King Harvest version was a one-hit wonder for the band. But the song has been a favorite classic soft-rock staple for decades. On this date in 1943, Kelly was born.
