Actress Eva Marie Saint died today at the age of 102. Saint received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in the 1954 film, “On the Waterfront,” and went on to star in such notable movies as “Raintree County” (1957) and “Exodus” (1960).
My favorite of all her roles remains that of Eve Kendall in Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest” (1959), opposite Cary Grant.
Saint also won a Primetime Emmy Award for her role in “People Like Us” (1990) and was a presence on Turner Classic Movies, where her films are regularly shown.
