Postscript (2 July 2026): The exchange on NYPD radio is hilarious: “Two geniuses just climbed to the top of the Empire State Building, the top of the spire.” Just remember there is a thin line between “genius” and “insanity”. (The two climbers, who had their own Netflix documentary about previous adventures, were arrested and face multiple charges.)
