Song of the Day: As If We Never Said Goodbye, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Don Black, Christopher Hampton, and Amy Powers, is a featured song from the musical, “Sunset Boulevard“, based on the classic Billy Wilder 1950 film, starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson in the role of Norma Desmond. On her 1993 album, “Back to Broadway“, Barbra Streisand put her own unique stamp on the song. On this date in 1942, Streisand was born in Brooklyn, New York. In October 2012, I was lucky enough to see her live in concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where she recorded her “Back to Brooklyn” album.
