Song of the Day: Star Wars: A New Hope (“Soundtrack Suite”) [YouTube link] was the first of the nine scores composed by John Williams for the trilogy of trilogies that constitute the “Skywalker Saga“. This suite derives from the soundtrack to the original 1977 film and includes many of the central themes that would enter the orchestral musical vernacular of a generation.
