Song of the Day: It’s You I Like, words and music by Fred Rogers, was released in 1971, and is one of those heartwarming songs that celebrates embracing people for who they are “down deep inside.” On this date in 1928, Mister Rogers was born. Forty years later, he invited us into “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” which ran on PBS stations from 1968 through 2001. Check out the vocal rendition as well as a lovely instrumental version by trumpeter Wynton Marsalis [YouTube links]. The Vernal Equinox arrives at 10:46 am (ET), and I can’t think of a nicer way to greet Spring!
