Beware the Ides of March!
But hey, there’s always the 98th Annual Academy Awards, which airs tonight. Film-score fan that I am, I’ve long enjoyed this wonderful “Salute to Film Composers” arranged and conducted by the great John Williams. It was originally performed at the Oscars on March 24, 2002, nearly a quarter-century ago. That same year, Williams conducted the Boston Pops Orchestra in an encore performance.
I featured this as a “Song of the Day” Suite back on April 25, 2021. But a sweet suite is worth repeating!
