NYC is getting its first snowfall of the season—the first time we’ve had over one inch of snow since February 11-12, 2025. This is nowhere near the record streak of no snowfall for 701 days, which stretched from early 2022 to mid-January 2024!

Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights. Perhaps those lyrics need a little update: “I’m dreaming of White Hanukkah”?

A happy holiday to all those who celebrate.
