It may have been another disappointing year for Yankee fans, but the achievements of Yankee outfielder Aaron Judge could not go unnoticed. Last night, Judge won his third American League Most Value Player Award (over the last four years), edging out Cal Raleigh who hit 60 home runs in the regular season.
Judge, however, led the major leagues in on-base percentage (.457), slugging percentage (.688), OPS (1.145), times on base (310), intentional walks (36) and WAR per FanGraphs (10.1). He led the American League in runs (137), walks (124), extra-base hits (85) and total bases (372).
For his 2025 season, Judge also won the Hank Aaron Award, honoring the best overall offensive player in the league, and a Silver Slugger Award.
Along with the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani (who has won MVP honors three years in a row), I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that we’re witnessing two of the greatest players to have ever graced major league baseball.
