Two of my father’s brothers — George and Charlie — went off to fight the Axis powers in Europe, with vastly different fates. One ended up with Allied forces in North Africa and Italy, while the other fought his way through Germany, only to be captured and held as a Prisoner of War. Their stories — and a tribute to my Uncle Anthony Jannace by his son William — are the focus of today’s third installment in my four-part Medium series.
