Song of the Day: Feels So Good [YouTube link], composed by Chuck Mangione, is the title track to the artist’s 1977 album. An edit of this instrumental went to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and to #1 on the Adult Contemporary Chart in 1978. But the album version remains most memorable, featuring Mangione on flugelhorn, Chris Vadala on saxophone, and Grant Geissman on guitar. Today, we received news that Mangione died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 84. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert in the 1970s in Central Park. RIP, Chuck, forever in the Land of Make Believe.
