But the even bigger hit came in 1975 for Linda Ronstadt, who took this song to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song appeared on Ronstadt‘s fifth studio album, “Heart Like a Wheel,” which was the artist’s first album to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart. This breakthrough album was selected by the Library of Congress to be inducted in the National Recording Registry in 2013. Today is Linda Ronstadt‘s 79th birthday.
