Song of the Day: Dance to the Music, words and music by Sly Stone, appears as the funky title track of the 1968 Sly and the Family Stone album. This Top Ten Billboard Hot 100 hit launched the group onto the pop charts and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. Sly Stone died today at the age of 82. The subject of a terrific 2025 Questlove documentary, Stone was a true pioneer of musical fusion, integrating elements of R&B, psychedlic soul, and rock. Check out this classic track [YouTube link].
