Song of the Day: Wicked (“Defying Gravity”), words and music by Stephen Schwartz, closes out Act I of the 2003 musical, which has been adapted for the screen as a two-part film series. I saw the original Broadway musical in 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the 2024 film and look forward to its conclusion, which arrives in late 2025. Tonight is the 78th Annual Tony Awards, honoring achievements on the Broadway stage.
