Song of the Day: Gloria (“Aftermath”) [YouTube link], composed by Bill Conti and featuring guitarist Tommy Tedesco, is one of the loveliest themes from this classic 1980 neo-noir crime thriller, directed by John Cassavetes, and featuring the great Gena Rowlands, who died this past summer at the age of 94. Rowlands received her second Best Actress Oscar nomination for this film. And as Gloria, she was more badass than any of those guys playing in the Super Bowl today!
